In 2015, upon joining the innovative startup TalentWise (later acquired by Sterling Talent Solutions for $200M), I embarked on a pivotal project to design AI background check reports for SitterCity.com.

SitterCity, a cutting-edge intelligent matching platform, aimed to revolutionize the process of finding a caregiver or sitter for families and children. The initial phase involved collaborative meetings with stakeholders to align on objectives, user needs, and business goals.

Subsequently, I conducted comprehensive research to identify the most effective reporting solutions and data visualization techniques. Leveraging existing user data from SitterCity and conducting in-depth studies on report complexity, I laid the groundwork for the design approach. The challenging aspect involved crafting a visionary report that seamlessly integrated with the SitterCity backend platform and the customer's website, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive user experience throughout.

Design Process

Armed with insights from research, I crafted wireframes and a clickable prototype to visualize the proposed solution. Iterative UX studies and feedback sessions refined the design, ensuring alignment with user expectations and business requirements.

Through multiple rounds of meetings and mock iterations with the client, I developed a robust UX and UI framework for the reports. Rigorous testing and feedback collection further optimized the user experience and visual schema, culminating in a comprehensive solution.

My Role

As the sole designer, I led all aspects of the project, from research and analysis to design implementation and integration. My responsibilities included research, competitive analysis, user studies, wireframe design, and hi-fidelity mockup creation.

I collaborated closely with stakeholders, the product team, and development teams throughout the process to ensure seamless execution and alignment with project objectives. Additionally, I facilitated UI quality assurance to guarantee the final product met the highest standards.

Outcome

Following months of effort, multiple iterations of background check reports tailored to different use cases were successfully developed, integrated, and released. My comprehensive approach to UX/UI design resulted in an intuitive and user-friendly solution that met the needs of both SitterCity and Sterling Talent Solutions.
